Microsoft is currently investigating service issues that are preventing users from accessing their Microsoft 365 accounts and blocking access to installed apps. The company has confirmed the problem through a tweet from the Microsoft 365 Status account and has directed administrators to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for more information.
The issue is affecting access to the Microsoft 365 website as well as Microsoft 365 apps. Microsoft is actively working on resolving the problem and providing updates on their website under the reference code MO559201.
Affected customers have reported difficulties accessing their Outlook mailboxes and are unable to connect to the Microsoft 365 servers. The impact appears to be primarily affecting users in North America, Poland, and the United Kingdom, although users in other regions may also have been affected, according to the MO559201 alert issued by Microsoft.
This is not the first time Microsoft 365 has experienced service outages. In the previous month, an outage caused Exchange Online connectivity issues for users in North America. In March, another outage blocked Exchange Online customers worldwide from sending and receiving emails or accessing their mailboxes. Earlier in January, a significant outage occurred due to router packet forwarding issues within Microsoft’s Wide Area Network (WAN) following a faulty router IP address update.
Update: Microsoft has announced that the issues have been addressed, indicating that users should now be able to access their Microsoft 365 accounts and apps normally.
